Out of This World Adventures #1 (1950) from Avon Comics, graded CGC 7.0 (Fine/Very Fine) with Cream to Off-White Pages. From the collection of Eric Groves, this landmark Golden Age issue features a cover by John Giunta, with interior artwork by Joe Kubert and John Giunta. The issue is particularly notable for the first appearance and origin of Crom the Barbarian, an early sword-and-sorcery character. Also of interest is the unusual publication history: Out of the World #1 (1950) is bound inside the pulp publication, as shown in the accompanying photograph. A desirable Golden Age science-fiction and fantasy collectible combining scarce early Avon material, notable artwork by Joe Kubert, and the debut of Crom the Barbarian, presented here in a strong CGC 7.0 grade.
