Dating to the mid-to-late 20th century, this vintage men's reversible waistcoat vest offers two distinct styling options. Constructed with a solid bright red wool shell on one side and an off-white wool fabric with red and black tattersall grid plaidon the reverse, the piece features a V-neckline, six mother-of-pearl four-hole button closure, and two front flap welt pockets on each side. The red side features a smooth black fabric back panel with an adjustable cinch belt, while a small manufacturer tag reading "Size 36" is tucked inside one pocket. Measures 18 in across armpits laid flat (36 in total chest). Condition is consistent with normal age and light wear, showing minor surface lint, soft creasing, and light wear along the fabricedges. The wool weaves, pearl buttons, stitching, and adjustable back cinch buckle remain functional and structurally sound. This example highlights classic mid-century haberdashery versatility, providing strong display appeal for collectors of vintage menswear and traditional equestrian-style waistcoats.
