Manufactured for Sears, Roebuck and Co., this mid 1950s vintage coat is constructed of rich chocolate brown sheared mouton lamb fur. The garment incorporates a high stand collar, wide turned-up cuffs, side hand pockets, and a hidden hook-and-eye front closure. Fully lined in a burgundy satin fabric decorated with a repeating motif, the interior side facing includes a cloth label reading "Kerrybrooke is fashion" alongside "Sears, Roebuck and Co., U.S.A." Condition is consistent with age and pre-owned use. The interior lining shows light fraying and loosening stitching around the edges of the maker tag, along with visible exposed stitching along the interior placket edge where the hook closure aligns. The sheared pelt remains dense, soft, and glossy throughout the exterior body and collar. Dimensions measure 36 inches from collar seam to bottom hem, 18 inches across the padded shoulders, and 24 inches in sleeve length with cuffs rolled. This is best for a Medium to Large size. Representing mid-century American department store fashion, this coat offers classic winter outerwear styling and appeal for collectors of vintage fur and outerwear.
