Vintage Montgomery Ward Rust Suede 2-Piece Outfit

Manufactured in Scotland, this vintage men's knit cardigan sweater was styled by Pringle of Scotland for department store retailer Jacobson's. Constructed of fine wool yarn in a warm, rusty orange shade, the cardigan features a classic V-neckline, asix-button front closure with iridescent dark mother-of-pearl buttons, ribbed knit cuffs and waist hem, and dark brown corduroy elbow patch overlays stitched onto each sleeve. The inner neck retains a woven cloth maker label displaying a red rampantlion crest with text reading "Styled by Pringle for Jacobson's, Made in Scotland 40". Outer garment dimensions are chest at 20" across plus some stretch and sleeves up to 23"; tag indicates size 40. Condition is consistent with age and gentle wear,showing light surface pilling, minor frayed threads along the edges of the cloth neck label, and soft wear to the corduroy elbow patches. The wool knit body, pearl buttons, buttonholes, and sleeve cuffs remain structurally sound and well-preserved.
