Dating to the 1970s, this Coca-Cola advertising belt buckle features an oval brass-tone cast metal body with raised script logo, "5 CENTS" above, and “AT FOUNTAINS” below. The reverse retains its belt loop and pin along with an unusual four-digit mechanical counter assembly displaying “1000.” Comparable examples of this design are generally identified as 1970s Coca-Cola promotional buckles. Measures approximately 4" x 2 1/2". Overall condition is good with surface rubbing, darkened patina, oxidation to the reverse hardware, and general wear consistent with age. Raised advertising detail remains well defined. Counter functionality has not been tested. A distinctive piece of vintage Coca-Cola advertising that combines the familiar five-cent soda-fountain motif with an unusual mechanical counter feature, giving it added display interest for advertising and belt buckle collectors.
