ANVS Inc. PVS-7SA Night Vision Goggles

Updated August 24, 2026

This ANVS Inc. PVS-7SA night vision goggle system, serial number 318290, presents in good overall condition and comes with a soft carrying case, helmet mount, and manual. The PVS-7 design is a military-style biocular night-vision system that uses a single image-intensifier tube to provide an image to both eyes, allowing hands-free helmet- or head-mounted observation. Typical ANVS PVS-7 specifications include approximately 1X magnification, a 40-degree field of view, 15mm eye relief, focus from roughly 9.8" to infinity, and diopter adjustment from approximately -6 to +2. ANVS documentation lists operation from two AA batteries with typical battery life of 40+ hours, a 27mm objective lens, and weight of roughly 24 ounces without batteries. (ANVS Inc. Night Vision) The PVS-7 family has a long association with U.S. military night-vision use and is one of the most recognizable night-vision goggle designs of the modern era. Exact image-intensifier tube generation, resolution, performance specifications, and operating condition of this specific unit should be determined from its markings and photographs rather than assumed from general PVS-7 specifications. With its helmet mount, soft case, manual, recognizable military-style configuration, and good overall condition, this is an exciting piece of night-vision equipment for the collector or enthusiast.
