This Imperial Metal IMP double-action/single-action revolver is chambered in .22 Short and offers an exceptionally compact pocket-revolver configuration. Serial number 53444, this example features an approximately 1.75" barrel with a shiny bore and is in fair overall condition. The revolver utilizes a small metal frame with an exposed hammer and compact cylinder arrangement. The grips are missing, leaving the frame exposed in the grip area. More importantly, the cylinder spins freely and does not lock as intended, so the revolver needs work before it can operate safely and properly. It should be professionally inspected and repaired prior to use. Small .22 Short revolvers such as this were once a common part of the inexpensive pocket-handgun market and are now interesting curiosities from an earlier era of firearm manufacturing. With its tiny dimensions and unusual IMP marking, this example makes an intriguing repair or collector project. Please see photos. Imperial Metal IMP .22 Short DA/SA 1.75 Shiny 53444 Fair
