Taurus PT-22 .22LR

Updated August 24, 2026

This Taurus PT-22 semi-automatic pistol is chambered in .22 LR and offers a compact pocket-pistol configuration highlighted by attractive wood grips. Serial number AXL35606, this example features an approximately 2.75" barrel with a shiny bore and remains in good cosmetic condition overall. The pistol utilizes a compact metal frame with an exposed hammer and distinctive tip-up barrel system paired with traditional wood grip panels. No magazine is included. The firearm currently needs work to operate properly and should be professionally inspected and repaired before use. Taurus developed the PT-22 as an economical small-frame rimfire pistol influenced by classic European tip-up-barrel designs. The wood grips give this particular example a more traditional and upscale appearance than the standard synthetic-equipped version. With its shiny bore, compact proportions, tip-up barrel, and handsome wood furniture, this is an appealing little Taurus project pistol. Please see photos.
