Remington 870 20ga

Updated August 24, 2026

This Remington Model 870 pump-action shotgun is chambered in 20 gauge and is being offered as a repair or restoration project. Serial number RAS129112, this example features an approximately 28" barrel with a shiny bore and is in fair overall condition. The shotgun wears traditional checkered wood furniture with a classic sporting grip and forearm, paired with the steel receiver and pump-action system that helped make the Model 870 one of America’s most successful shotguns. Significant rust is visible throughout the firearm, and the action is currently seized. Because of these issues, the shotgun needs work before it can operate and should be professionally inspected and repaired prior to use. Introduced in 1950, the Remington 870 became an American institution across hunting, sporting, law-enforcement, and defensive markets. This 20-gauge example offers plenty of classic Remington character and could make a worthwhile project for the restoration-minded buyer. Please see photos.
