Ithaca Flues Model SxS 12ga

This Ithaca Flues Model side-by-side shotgun is chambered in 12 gauge and represents an interesting piece of early American sporting-arms history. Serial number 294061, this break-action double shotgun features approximately 28" barrels with shiny bores and is in fair overall condition. It wears checkered wood furniture with a traditional grip and double-gun profile, paired with a steel receiver and side-by-side barrel configuration. The buttstock has the initials “REW” carved into the wood, adding a personal piece of history to this well-used sporting gun. Considerable age and use are evident throughout, including visible rust, substantial finish and handling wear, and areas where pieces of wood have broken away from the stock. Ithaca’s Flues Model was introduced in the early 20th century and became one of the company’s important American-made double shotguns, with examples now representing a bygone era of upland hunting and traditional sporting arms. This example wears its history openly and offers plenty of aged character for the collector, restoration-minded buyer, or enthusiast of vintage American doubles. Please see photos.
