1951-S Franklin Silver Half Dollar Uncirculated 1951-S Franklin Silver Half Dollar Uncirculated This 1951-S Franklin Half Dollar is an exceptional uncirculated specimen featuring a sharp strike and original luster. Struck at the San Francisco Mint, this coin is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper. The obverse displays the profile of Benjamin Franklin, while the reverse features the iconic Liberty Bell with the small eagle to the right. As an uncirculated piece, it retains its mint sheen with minimal surface marks, making it a desirable addition for collectors of mid-century American coinage. The S mint mark is clearly visible above the yoke of the Liberty Bell on the reverse side. 1951-S Franklin Silver Half Dollar Uncirculated Condition: This item is in uncirculated condition, exhibiting original mint luster with some natural toning and minor surface marks consistent with age. The strike is sharp, though the horizontal bell lines on the reverse do not appear fully struck. The mint mark "S" for San Francisco is clearly visible above the yoke of the Liberty Bell. The metal content is 90% silver and 10% copper. Historically, the Franklin Half Dollar was designed by John R. Sinnock and replaced the Walking Liberty design in 1948, featuring Benjamin Franklin on the obverse and the Liberty Bell on the reverse. This is a business strike type rather than a proof. No professional numeric grade from a third-party service is provided.
