Vintage two seat stamped steel glider in the shell back pattern, the classic mid century American lawn form. Two shell backs sit side by side on one shared tubular frame joined by cross rails, with two outer arms and no center arm. Each back is an oval panel with raised radiating fluted ribs and a rolled outer lip. Each side rides on a continuous bent tube loop base with an inner swing frame and pivot links, and the glider mechanism is present with nothing visibly missing. The paint is red, now heavily chalked and faded. No maker mark was found anywhere. Read the condition. The right hand seat pan has rusted through, with a corroded blister zone nine to ten inches across and an open hole roughly three by four and a half inches at its center, plus a three inch split running toward the front left corner. Condition is fair overall, the frame straight and the backs undamaged, but that seat needs a patch or a replacement pan. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
