A collection of mid-20th-century costume jewellery housed in a rectangular hinged box. The box is covered in a floral patterned fabric in shades of lilac, purple, and cream, featuring a gilt metal clasp and an interior lid mirror. The cream flocked interior is organised into two tiers with a removable upper tray. The jewellery collection includes a mother-of-pearl pendant hand-painted with figures on horseback, a large translucent yellow teardrop-shaped pendant on a matching plastic cord, and a circular ceramic pendant with an impressed floral design. Beaded necklaces include a multi-strand piece with flecked cream beads, a faceted white glass bead necklace, and a necklace of red, white, and blue beads connected by metal links. Brooches comprise a white enamel daisy, an orange and yellow enamel crab, a silver-tone Christmas stocking set with maroon glass beads, a gold-tone floral spray set with two faux pearls, a gold-tone openwork heart, and a gold-tone dolphin. Bracelets include a wide silver-tone filigree piece with white roundels and two clear rhinestone line bracelets. Rings include a large cameo-style profile portrait and a silver-tone adjustable floral design. Additional items include a pressed pansy flower encased in plastic and a gold-tone fine-link chain. Width approx. 29.5 cm (measured against a ruler). Condition: The collection is in good vintage condition. There is minor surface wear, light scratching, and some tarnishing to the metal components consistent with age and use. The mirror is intact and the box clasp functions correctly. The fabric covering shows light overall wear.
