This set consists of two shakers and two footed salt cellars with removable liners. The pieces are constructed of silver-plated copper in a Rococo-revival style. The salt cellars feature wide rims with high-relief shell and scroll motifs. Both the cellars and shakers are supported by four cabriole legs with lion mask knees and terminate in paw feet. The shakers have waisted bodies and domed, pierced lids with decorative finials. Two rectangular cobalt blue glass liners are included. Stamped on the underside of the salt cellars with E.P. COPPER and MADE IN ENGLAND. A second mark reads MADE IN ENGLAND above B. J. C. & CO. LTD. Dimensions (measured from visible ruler): Shaker height approx. 11.4 cm Salt cellar length approx. 8.3 cm. Condition: The set shows surface tarnishing and wear consistent with age and use. Significant bleeding is visible on the raised decorative elements where the silver plating has worn away to expose the copper base. One shaker lid shows minor oxidation around the perforations. The cobalt blue glass liners are intact.
