Itzchak Tarkay limited-edition color serigraph titled "Alone in a Crowded Room." The composition depicts an elegant interior scene with a group of women, executed in Tarkay's recognizable modern figurative style with strong outlines, flattened perspective, rich colors, and decorative geometric elements. Pencil signed lower right and numbered 33/350 lower left. Good overall condition. 34" x 29" framed. Itzchak Tarkay (1935-2012, Serbia/Israel) was a Serbian-born Israeli artist best known for his colorful figurative paintings and serigraphs depicting women in sophisticated interior and cafe settings. His distinctive style combines expressive line, broad areas of color, and influences from modern European artists including Matisse and Toulouse-Lautrec.
