Produced by the Hubley Manufacturing Company of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, this cast iron doorstop depicts a long-haired reclining Persian cat. The piece features a two-part hollow-core construction secured by two internal threaded rods. Thecasting is finished with detailed molded fur and factory-applied paint in off-white tones with blue eyes, a pink nose, and a pink ribbon tied in a bow. The name HUBLEY is embossed on the interior of the base. 10.75 L x 6 H inches.This item presents expected surface wear and an aged paint finish consistent with its period. The crackled patina provides an authentic vintage appearance. The casting is structurally sound with secure internal fittings.
