6 Nancy Ann Storybook Dolls & Original Boxes

This collection from the Nancy Ann Storybook Doll Company consists of six vintage miniature dolls constructed from composition or hard plastic. Each doll features painted, side-glancing eyes, a small red mouth, and fixed wigs in varyingshades of red, blonde, and brown mohair or synthetic fiber. The dolls are dressed in original period costumes made of satin, lace, and sheer fabrics, many featuring full skirts, wide-brimmed hats, and floral accessories. The lot includesfour original polka-dot cardboard boxes bearing silver foil labels for the following models: Operetta Series Naughty Marietta 307, A November Lass to Cheer 197, When she was good She was very very good 32, and A February Fairy Girl For Iceand Snow 188. One box retains a vintage retailer sticker from H. Levy & Co. Five of the dolls are of standard size, while one smaller scale figure is included in a plaid dress. Height: 5 to 6 inches.These dolls exhibit expected signs of age including light dust accumulation and slightly matted wigs. One doll in a striped dress has a detached right leg. The accompanying boxes show typical shelf wear and scuffing consistent with age.
