Jay Strongwater miniature picture frame crafted in the form of a stylized lotus flower. The central circular aperture houses a portrait of a woman rendered in a Post-Impressionist style. The frame features eight petal-shaped segmentsdecorated with translucent hand-painted enamel in shades of vibrant green, orange, and reddish-pink. Each segment is bordered with pavé-set round-cut crystals in ruby-red and peridot-green tones. The reverse is finished in swirling orangeenamel and includes a hinged circular backplate. The frame stands on an integral easel with an openwork heart-shaped foot accented with green enamel. A raised rectangular metal plaque on the reverse bears the mark JAY STRONGWATER followedby a copyright symbol. The frame is accompanied by its original branded brown box.This frame is in excellent condition with light expected wear from age and use. The enamel and crystals are well preserved and the easel mechanism is functional.
