Fitz and Floyd 1990 Reynard Fox Ceramic Pitcher

A Fitz and Floyd glazed ceramic pitcher in the Reynard pattern, dated 1990. The vessel is modeled in the form of a seated red fox with its head tilted upward and its open mouth serving as the pouring spout. The handle is shaped as agnarled tree branch with textured bark. The body of the pitcher is embellished with relief-molded foliage, white flowers with yellow centers, and clusters of pink and purple berries. The fox's coat features a textured surface finished inrusset brown and cream tones. The unglazed base is marked with a copyright symbol and the letters FF, followed by the year 1990, the capacity 1 1/4 QT., and the country of origin TAIWAN.This pitcher is in very good condition. No chips, cracks, or crazing are visible on the glazed surfaces. There is minor dark scuffing and shelf wear on the unglazed foot rim. A small patch of adhesive residue is located on the center of the base.
