Fitz & Floyd Set 3 Figural Pheasant Ceramic Items

This collection consists of three decorative earthenware service items featuring figural pheasant motifs, produced by Fitz and Floyd and their Omnibus division. The set includes a covered tureen with a coordinating ladle, a teapot, and apitcher. Each piece is constructed with molded relief details and finished in hand-painted polychrome glazes. The horizontal tureen is shaped as a resting male ring-necked pheasant with a removable lid and includes a ceramic ladle with ahandle molded as a pheasant feather. The teapot features a spout formed by the bird's head and a handle formed by the curved tail, decorated with relief-molded flowers, berries, and foliage on a wood-grain patterned base. The pitcher isdesigned with an open-beak spout, a green vine-style handle, and a base decorated in high relief with ears of corn and autumn leaves. The base of the tureen is embossed with the mark copyright FF 1990. The teapot base is embossed with 28The set is in very good condition overall. The tureen shows minor shelf wear and slight darkening to the unglazed portion of the foot rim; the matching ladle is in excellent condition. The pitcher has a small, faint hairline crack on the unglazed foot. Pitcher height: 10 inches Teapot capacity: 28 ounces Pitcher capacity: 1 quart.
