A collection of hand-painted ceramic items produced by Goebel, featuring designs by M.J. Hummel. The lot includes two figurines, two annual plates, and two annual bells, each accompanied by its original retail box. The figurine titledStormy Weather (Hum 71) depicts a young boy and girl sharing a large umbrella. The figurine titled Ride into Christmas (Hum 396/I) depicts a boy on a sled carrying an evergreen tree and a lantern. The 1978 Annual Plate (Happy Pastime)features a girl knitting in bas-relief. The 1979 Annual Plate (Singing Lessons) features a boy playing a recorder in bas-relief. The 1978 First Edition Annual Bell (Let's Sing) features a boy with an accordion, and the 1979 Second EditionAnnual Bell (Farewell) features a girl waving. All pieces feature traditional hand-painted polychrome finishes. Marks on the boxes identify the pieces as Goebel products made in West Germany.
