Seller: Vince Robbins Group Affiliation: Durham Parkview 4-H Species: Rabbit My name is Vince Robbins and I am 12 years old and just started 7th grade at Durham Intermediate School. I am taking my 2nd pen of market rabbits to the fair. This is my fourth year in 4-H and my 6th time going to a fair! In the past, I have also taken market goats to the fair. I chose to raise and sell a pen of meat rabbits because we raise rabbits on our family farm. Also, I love rabbits and I like to play with them! At home, we breed, raise and butcher our own goats and rabbits. I have helped my family with all of this. My favorite times are when the babies (kits) are born! Rabbit meat is delicious and extremely healthy. My favorite rabbit dish is buttermilk-soaked fried rabbit. Outside of 4-H, I like basketball, swim team, 3-D printing and Boy Scouts! I love the outdoors, insects, hunting, and hiking. The money I earn from selling my rabbits will go toward paying for a car, buying my next rabbit pen, scout camp and my savings for college. My pen of rabbits was born on June 16. When my rabbits were 10 days old, I started playing with them. As they grew, I weighed, fed and watered them each day, and practiced showmanship.
