Seller: Jillian Kuczler Group Affiliation: Palermo 4-H Species: Goat Dear Potential Buyer, My name is Jillian Kuczler and I am eighteen years old. I've been a member of our local club, Palermo 4H for five years and I will be starting my sixth year this year. I just graduated from Las Plumas High School in the class of 2026, but while I was in school, I was a member of their FFA department as well. I started in the FFA in Palermo Middle School during covid, and I did a total of six years in it up until I graduated. While in FFA, I took my science classes through it, I took a little bit of welding, and my classes that were my main focus were the ones in the Animal Science pathway, such as Vet Skills because it is my hope to one day get a job in that sort of career area. Like a veterinarian technician. While in my time in Palermo 4H, I have been able to take quite a few animals to the fair and have been able to broaden my experience with a variety of livestock. I first started out in our sheep group taking Hampshire Suffolk Sheep to Silver Dollar Fair for my first two years. Then I moved on to rabbits and I took Black New Zealand's to Butte County Fair my third year. My fourth year I was going to take Californian Rabbits, but sadly they didn't make weight in time. Now, for my fifth year I will be taking goats. This year I am being accompanied by my male Dapple Boer goat, Vincent Van Goat, at the Butte County Fair. He is a goat with a big personality, being that he is very sassy with how he practically yells at me to feed him every early morning. His favorite feed that I've fed him is Show Maker Supreme Performance feed with alfalfa hay. In my time with him and my goat group, I have learned a lot from nutrition to muscle structure and various other notable things about keeping them healthy. For showmanship, we have been through many hours of learning, correcting, and memorizing the proper ways to present ourselves in the ring. It's been hard work, but I believe that we will both be at our best in the ring this year. Speaking of which, the Butte County Fair will be hosted at the end of August. I'd like to take the time to invite you to come visit the fair this year. I will be performing in the showmanship and meatclasses starting at 9AM on Wednesday the 26th along with many other participants and their own livestock. Then the auction is on Saturday the 29th, the auction will begin at 10 AM. By purchasing any of these amazing animals, you're supporting local agriculture and the future goals of these people, not just my own.
