Seller: Barrett Houghton Group Affiliation: Independent Species: Swine Dear Prospective Buyer, My name is Barrett Houghton, and I am a 6th-grade student at Palermo Middle School and a 4-H member raising my pig, Ferdinand, for the Butte County Fair.I am excited to have the opportunity to participate in this project and to share the hard work I have put into raising Ferdinand.Being part of 4-H has taught me that success takes time, patience, responsibility, and dedication. From feeding and caring forFerdinand every day to training and preparing for the fair, I have learned so much throughout this experience.Outside of 4-H, I stay busy playing baseball and football,and I am proud to say that I am thriving in school as a 6th grader. Balancing school, sports, and my 4-H responsibilities has taught me the importance of commitment, time management, and giving my best effort in everything I do.This project is about so much more than raising an animal. Ferdinand has taught me to be responsible for another living thing, to keep working even when things are challenging, and to take pride in what I accomplish. The lessons I am learning through 4-H will stay with me long after the fair is over.I am reaching out to ask if you would consider becoming a buyer or supporter of my 4-H project at the Butte County Fair.
