Seller: Chelsea Alderson Group Affiliation: Chico FFA Species: Swine My name is Chelsea Alderson, and I am a first-year student at Modesto Junior College pursuing a degree in Agricultural Business with a minor in Communications. This year, I am raising a Hampshire pig named Petey for the Butte County Fair Youth Livestock Program. His name comes from Modesto Junior College’s mascot, Petey the Pirate, making this project especially meaningful as I begin my college journey. Over the past several months, I have dedicated countless hours to caring for Petey, monitoring his diet and weight, and preparing him for the show ring, with the goal of having him reach approximately 265 pounds by fair time. Supporting the Youth Livestock Auction means supporting the dedication, hard work, and future of young people in agriculture. I would personally like to invite you to attend the Butte County Fair Youth Livestock Auction on August 29th at 10:00 AM at the Butte County Fairgrounds in Gridley.
