Earl Dennison (1889-1968) Newbern, TN 7.25" long Around 1915, Earl began making calls for himself as a hobby, drawing inspiration from other call makers. He began as a caller for wealthy sports from St. Louis who would almost always try to buy one of his calls after the hunt, which led him to begin making calls for sale. By the 1940's his operation was doing so well that he moved his family into a larger home to be able to provide the space needed for the growing business. This call is carved in the style of Sharpie Shaw with a single reed. The calls Dennison made in the style of Shaw and Turpin are most desirable. 18 Condition: Excellent and original
