Please review the photos for the exact dates, mint marks, and condition of the coins included. The Kennedy Half Dollar was first introduced in 1964, following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The coin was designed by Gilroy Roberts and Frank Gasparro, featuring Kennedy's portrait on the obverse and the Presidential Seal on the reverse. The first Kennedy Half Dollars dated 1964 were struck in 90% silver. From 1965 through 1970, circulating Kennedy Half Dollars contained 40% silver, before silver was removed from the regular circulating issue beginning in 1971.
