1895 Indian Head Cent. Designed by James B. Longacre, the Indian Head Cent features Liberty wearing a Native American headdress on the obverse and an oak wreath with shield on the reverse. Struck during the final decade of the 19th century, the 1895 issue represents a classic example of the popular bronze cent series that circulated throughout America for generations.
