1867/67 Indian Head Cent. This popular overdate variety features a repunched date with the underlying digits visible beneath the final 1867 date, making it a desirable addition for collectors of Indian Head Cents and die varieties. Designed by James B. Longacre, the Indian Head Cent features Liberty wearing a Native American headdress on the obverse and a simple oak wreath with shield on the reverse. Struck during the post-Civil War era, the 1867 issue represents an important period in American coinage history and remains a favorite among collectors of classic U.S. copper cents.
