This elegant Councill Craftsmen mahogany occasional table combines refined traditional styling with practical versatility. Crafted in richly figured mahogany with a warm satin finish, the rectangular top features a raised gallery with gently canted corners and is supported by slender square legs joined by an H-form stretcher with decorative fret-cut braces. Bearing the original Councill Craftsmen maker’s plaque beneath the top, this finely crafted piece reflects the exceptional quality and timeless design for which the renowned North Carolina furniture maker is celebrated. Equally suited for use as a lamp table, side table, or accent table, its understated proportions and classic lines complement both traditional and transitional interiors. The table presents in very good vintage condition with light age-appropriate surface wear, including minor scratches, finish rubs, and scattered handling marks consistent with careful use.
