This handsome late 19th to early 20th century marble-top washstand features its original white marble top and raised backsplash, combining practical utility with timeless Victorian design. Crafted in solid wood with warm walnut-toned veneers, the case is fitted with a single frieze drawer adorned with Eastlake-inspired brass bail pulls flanking a central escutcheon, above a two-door cabinet opening to a spacious shelved interior for linens and toiletries. The thick white marble top displays attractive natural gray veining and provides a durable work surface, while the overall form reflects the understated elegance and craftsmanship characteristic of the period. A charming example of Victorian utility furniture, it is equally suited for traditional, farmhouse, or eclectic interiors. The washstand presents in good antique condition with age-appropriate wear including scattered finish loss, scratches, and surface marks to the wood, expected staining and flea bites and light wear to the marble, oxidation to the brass hardware, and overall wear consistent with decades of careful use. The cabinet remains solid, sturdy, and fully functional. Measures 37"H x 31.5"W x 15.25"D.
