This impressive oversized carved wood carousel horse sculpture captures the charm and nostalgia of classic American amusement park carousels with its spirited stance and richly hand-painted polychrome decoration. Executed in a distressed cream finish with hand-painted green, red, and gilt saddle trappings, the figure is embellished with molded floral garlands, carved tack details, a flowing mane and tail, and expressive facial features that evoke the craftsmanship of early carousel carving traditions. Constructed in multiple sections for ease of transport, the horse separates into seven components, with the head, tail, and four legs removable from the body. Whether displayed in a grand entryway, commercial setting, themed interior, or as a statement decorative sculpture, it offers striking visual appeal and whimsical character. The piece remains structurally sound overall but exhibits visible age and use, including scattered surface wear, paint losses, scratches, shrinkage cracks, throughout. Seems to have repairs but could be cracking.
