This lot comprises two metal belt buckles centered on moose imagery. The first is a rectangular buckle with clipped corners featuring a multi-tonal relief landscape. The scene depicts a moose wading in water before a dense forest and mountain range, accented with translucent green and amber-toned enamel. The word MAINE is embossed on the lower left of the face. The reverse is finished with a dark, textured coating and is stamped with the number 210. The second item is an oval Western-style buckle with a twisted-rope border. It features a central high-relief figure of a moose standing on rocky ground, finished with gold-toned and reddish-brown accents. The background is decorated with ornate scrolling foliate and floral engraving. The reverse is silver-toned with scrolling patterns and features a rectangular stamp containing the characters B17. Dimensions measured against a ruler: Maine Buckle: approx. W 2.75 in x H 2 in Western Buckle: approx. W 3.25 in x H 2.5 in. Condition: Both buckles are in good pre-owned condition. The Maine buckle shows minor surface wear and light oxidation consistent with age. The oval Western-style buckle retains a bright, polished finish. Both items are free of structural damage, and the attachment hardware on the reverse of each is intact.
