Vintage Dietz Little Giant Kerosene Oil Lantern. It is characterized by its signature large, wide fuel tank base, stamped directly with the words "LITTLE GIANT". This wide fount configuration was designed specifically to give the lantern an extended 70-hour burn capacity. It utilizes a cold-blast combustion system and takes a standard "Little Wizard" sized glass globe. The R.E. Dietz Company originally introduced this model in the 1920s. They were heavily utilized by highway departments, railroads, and construction crews due to their stability and ability to burn continuously over a long weekend without needing a refill.
