This is a vintage "C & O", Chesapeake & Ohio Railway, Adlake Kero railroad lantern, likely from the 1920s.It features a distinctive red glass globe, which was typically used to signal stop or danger.Similar antique Adlake lanterns are often found marked with specific railroad lines.The lantern is constructed with a wire cage protecting the glass globe and has a sturdy metal handle for carrying.
