This Royal Doulton ceramic character jug depicts a Beefeater in traditional Tudor attire featuring a black brimmed hat and a white pleated ruff. The piece is finished in a high-gloss polychrome glaze and includes a decorative handle molded with a Tudor rose and crown. The base is marked with the Royal Doulton lion and crown backstamp, the model name Beefeater, reference number D 6206, and a 1946 copyright date.Height: 6.5 inches.
