A.C. Gilbert Erector No. 6 1/2 Set

This A.C. Gilbert Erector No. 6 1/2 construction set comprises an assortment of steel components stored in an original red tin chest. The group features a blue electric motor, various perforated girders, and several wheels with red hubs. A 1938 How To Make Em Book instruction manual is included along with a variety of colored metal plates. The metal storage box is fitted with a top handle and two front latches.Box measures approximately 16 1/4 inches by 8 1/4 inches by 3 inches.Box displays widespread wear, scratches, and surface rust, with significant damage to the lid decal. The instruction manual is in poor condition with a large portion of the cover missing and heavy creasing. Metal parts show scattered oxidation and signs of play wear, and the electric engine is untested. Hardware is housed in a replacement plastic bag.
