This cast composite sculpture depicts the Bird Girl, a model originally designed by Sylvia Shaw Judson in 1936. The figure is finished with a dark grey and golden-bronze faux patina over a light-colored casting material. It stands on an integral square plinth and features the iconic pose with outstretched arms holding two shallow dishes.13.75 x 8 x 4 inches (estimated).The sculpture shows general surface wear and rubbing to the faux-bronze finish, most notably on the raised folds and base corners. Minor nicks and abrasions are present consistent with age and handling. The unrefined underside reveals the porous nature of the composite material.
