This lot features a commemorative Schering Corporation ceramic mortar and wooden pestle alongside a smaller metal set. The glazed ceramic mortar displays molded relief work honoring Louis Hebert with dates 1580 1627 and pharmaceutical symbols, while the cork base bears a printed Schering maker mark. The accompanying miniature set is constructed of cast metal with a flared rim and horizontal ribbing.Ceramic mortar height: 4.45 inchesMetal mortar height: 3.5 inches.The ceramic mortar shows minor interior staining and the wooden pestle exhibits surface wear from use.
