WASH OF THE MING DYNASTY. <br>H:12.8cm W:23cm This is an imperial blue-and-white stationery washer of Xuande reign Ming Dynasty, with contracted mouth, plump belly and ring foot shaped like a fishing basket. The whole vessel is painted with powerful dragon and floating cloud patterns using imported Su Ma Li Qing cobalt pigment, with a band of lotus petals encircling the base. The cobalt blue presents rich vivid tone dotted with natural iron rust spots. Six-character regular script mark "Made in the Xuande Reign of the Great Ming" is enclosed inside double blue circles on the base. Dragon symbolizes imperial supreme power, this elegant water vessel was exclusively used in royal scholar??s study, a classic masterpiece of Xuande blue-and-white porcelain.<br>ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH NO RETURNS OR CANCELLATIONS.<br><br> Additional photographs and condition reports may be provided upon request as a courtesy only.
