TREASURE OFFERING JAR. <br>Height:17cm (6.69in) Width:17cm (6.69in) Weight:2850g(6.28lb)Tibetan Buddhist offering jar of natural crystal with gilded silver filigree and inlaid gemstones, Qing Dynasty. The jar body is hollowed from a single block of white crystal, transparent with natural ice crack texture. The lid rim, shoulder and base are all crafted with gilded silver filigree, divided into rhombus panels each centered with large ruby, surrounded by turquoise and tourmaline accents. The lid is crowned with a teardrop crystal finial. This vessel was used to hold Buddha relics, holy nectar and tantric sacred items in Tibetan meditation. Crystal symbolizes pure Dharma body, gold-silver gems stand for perfect sevenfold offering.
