EMBEDDED SARIRA TREASURE FOR TANK. <br>Height:18cm (7.09in) Width:16cm (6.30in) Weight:870g(1.92lb)Silver-gilded filigree gem-inlaid Buddhist relic offering jar, Qing Tibetan Buddhism. The whole vessel is constructed of fine silver wire filigree gilded gold, woven with dense scrolling lotus patterns, inlaid with large natural turquoise and ruby in segmented panels. Waisted body with flared ring foot, multi-layer eaved lid crowned with crystal stupa finial, shaped after Tibetan stupa. It was made to hold Buddha relics, holy nectar, medicinal powder and sacred tantric items, a central worship treasure in temple shrines.
