After Salinas Framed Ballroom Scene

One large framed figurative interior scene described by the operator as “After Salinas,” showing formally dressed figures, chandeliers, architectural columns, a table, and abundant flowers. The work is housed in an elaborate gold-tone decorativeframe with scrolling, shell, floral, and foliate ornament. Rear backing components and hanging wire are present. No readable signature, artist label, or maker’s mark is visible. Frame ornament and finish show apparent chips, losses, abrasions,rubbing, grime, darkened areas, and finish variation, especially along raised elements and edges. The reverse has scratches, scuffs, abrasions, and worn or torn-looking backing areas. The pictorial surface is heavily textured; no definite tears ormajor punctures are visible in the supplied views, although a complete conservation assessment was not possible. Hanging wire and rear hardware are present; installation stability and hardware should be checked before handling. Dimensions were notcataloged because the photographed tape endpoints do not securely establish a measurement.
