One 1944 United States one-cent coin with Lincoln obverse and Wheat Reverse, housed in a later white cardboard 2×2 holder with clear window and staples. Visible legends include “IN GOD WE TRUST,†“LIBERTY,†“UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,†â€â€œE PLURIBUS UNUM.†The coin shows softened details, surface marks, scratches or abrasions, and uneven brown/copper coloration. The holder is scratched or scuffed and has lint or debris. The handwritten holder notation appears to read “1944 CH.but it is uncertain and is not a professional grade determination. Mint mark, composition, weight, diameter, edge, and authenticity were not established from the photographs.
