One United States 1940-S Lincoln Wheat Reverse cent, with the S mint mark beneath the date, housed in a stapled cardboard 2x2 holder. The obverse bears Lincoln’s portrait and the inscriptions “IN GOD WE TRUST,†“LIBERTY,†and “1940.†Threads “ONE CENT,†“UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,†and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.†The coin appears darkly toned with visible marks or abrasions. Glare and the holder limit examination. The cardboard holder has edge wear, discoloration, and metal staplhandwritten holder grade and color notations are not independently verified; no professional grading slab is present.
