1972–1973 Airmail Stamp Group

White display card presenting five visible perforated airmail stamps: one Olympic Winter Games Sapporo 1972 stamp bearing the wording “MADE IN CANADA,†one U.S. 11¢ National Parks Centennial—City of Refuge, Hawaii stamp, one U.S. 11¢ ProgressElectronics stamp, and two U.S. 13¢ airmail stamps. The card is handwritten “US MINT NH AIRMAIL†and “1972 to 1973 15 issues.†Only five stamps are visible; the black tabletop stand is not included. Front views show the card and stamps generintact, with possible minor edge waviness and perspective distortion. Mint-never-hinged status, gum, hinge condition, reverse condition, perforation details, and whether the stamps are affixed to the card cannot be assessed. The Olympic stamp’scountry of issue remains unresolved because the visible “MADE IN CANADA†wording conflicts with a possible U.S. identification.
