Limited Edition Cold-Cast Bronze Sculpture on Marble Base Artist: Paul Burdette Title: Snowy Owl Medium: Cold-cast bronze on polished green marble base Edition: 29/50 Dimensions: Approximately 9.5"H A finely sculpted limited edition depiction of a snowy owl perched attentively atop a rocky outcrop. The sculpture captures the bird's characteristic rounded head, penetrating gaze, and delicately layered plumage with remarkable realism. Finished in a rich bronze patina and mounted on an attractive polished green marble base, the work demonstrates Paul Burdette's renowned ability to portray North American wildlife with lifelike detail and expressive character. Signed in the casting "P. Artist Biography Paul Burdette is a Canadian wildlife sculptor and master decoy carver based in Ontario. After a successful career with the Otis Elevator Company, Burdette pursued his passion for wildlife art full-time, establishing Burdette Studio. He gained international recognition through competitive bird carving, including winning the prestigious Ward World Championship in decoy carving. His sculptures are known for their exceptional anatomical accuracy, expressive realism, and meticulous attention to feather and fur textures.Working primarily in bronze and cold-cast bronze, Burdette's subjects include owls, bears, wolves, waterfowl, and other North American wildlife. His work has been exhibited widely and is held in numerous private collections, making him one of Canada's best-known contemporary wildlife sculptors.
