Carved wooden devotional bust depicting Jesus Christ with a crown of thorns, mounted on a stepped, chamfered wooden plinth. A reverse/base stamp appears to read “DOME OF THE ROCK,” “REST HOUSE STATION,” “JERUSALEM,” “BY FAYSAL HAMMAD BROS,” and “WOODCARVING FROM MOUNT OF OLIVES.” A $150 sticker is also present. Glossy finish with visible grain, knots, color variation, surface marks, and carving irregularities. The reverse lower section has a pronounced vertical seam, split, or dark grain line ofuncertain nature. The base shows edge wear and scuffing. Stability of the bust-to-base attachment has not been demonstrated. Wood species, age, and exact origin are unconfirmed.
