**As described by the Vendor** "Wundurra Deflection" 2022 SH Gelding ASH Registered C2-264341 Approx. 15HH (expected to mature 15.1HH) Colour: Bay Sire: Nandeye Deflect Dam: Hardies Annie Registered: Yes ASH C2-264341 Education Level: Green Broken Rider Suitability: Experienced Floating Requirements: Float & Truck Disclosable Characteristics: Derek has a tremor when lifting his offside hind leg. This has been assessed by two veterinarians (once as a 2-year-old and again recently), who advised it does not affect his ridden work and is not a concern. Current front leg X-rays are also available. WUNDURRA DEFLECTION Stock Horse gelding. Rising 4-year-old. Should get to 15.1HH. Sire – NANDEYE DEFLECT Dam – HARDIES ANNIE BREEDING – Acres Destiny, Romeo, Reality, Soda Darcy, Dox Spinifex, Playboy Roy & more. Derek is a quiet, flashy bay gelding with extraordinary expressive paces and a soft mouth. We purchased Derek as a yearling. He was carted about to events and ponied off all our horses at events and was always a pleasure to have and naturally sensible. Derek was broken in as a 2-year-old and had a very light start due to me being pregnant. His first ride was in our backyard and he has always been a pull-out-of-the-paddock, tack-up-and-get-on type of gelding with no buck. Despite him getting a slow start, he was shown as a 2.5-year-old at a local agricultural show, placing in every class, turnbacking at a draft only 10 rides in, and was dragged out to Willinga with us and loped about like he had done it a million times. He has always been the same horse at home and out and about. He has also been on a heap of road rides, mustering, rides to the pub around cars, been a lead pony for my son, doubled my son on him with no hesitation, and been ridden by capable kids. Derek has natural flying changes, has done some jumping, has started the beginnings of rollbacks, and has been on the flag and cattle. With Derek's exceptional movement, he would make a fantastic ASH hack prospect or even a campdraft/challenge horse with continued education. We only put Derek up for sale as he was going to waste with us as we do not show ASH anymore and think this is where he belongs. Derek has had a slow start and has all the basics ready for someone to take him in any desired discipline and continue his education. Please note - Derek does have a tremor when lifting his off side hind leg, this has been vetted twice, once as a 2yr old and recently, both vets stating it does not affect his ridden work and isn't a concern. We also have current front leg X-rays. Vet checks are more than welcome. Despite Derek being very quiet and safe to handle and be around, this horse is not suited to nervous or inexperienced riders due to his age and education. Derek will need to go to an experienced home to continue his education and watch him shine out and about. He is a leave-in-the-paddock, pull-out-and-get-on, no-fuss gelding.
