Colt Model 1911 Pistol

R Serial # 580891. .45 ACP pistol with a 5” barrel. The bore is good, dirty with good rifling with frosting/fouling in the grooves. The frame may be a legitimate Colt made 1911 frame made in 1918, but the markings are not correct. The slide markings are not correct; there was no USMC marked slide made prior to the M45 pistol in 1985. There is no serial number under the firing pin retainer plate. Detachable 7 round magazine with 2-tone finish and a lanyard loop base plate. The blued metal finish on the steel slide is in excellent condition showing little wear with some fine scratches near the nose. The blued metal finish on the frame is in excellent condition showing little wear. Fixed sights. The checkered walnut grips are in excellent condition showing little wear. The action works fine. Includes a soft case.
